PHASE 2 Reduce, Reuse, Recycle

The purpose of Phase 2 is to focus on what is done with waste, and how it can be reduced. This encompasses all avenues of business that create waste, from the office, to the lunchroom, to the routes. It also calls attention to increasing profits that can be gained from waste.
VMI members are working on programs to reduce the spoilage of food and also find ways to recycle the spoiled food that we do generate. We are working on recycling programs for cardboard and many other recyclables we use on a daily basis.
