The purpose of Phase 1 is to pay close attention to the amount of energy that can be conserved simply by turning things off when they are not in use. It also entails evaluating what is truly necessary when it comes to the use of utilities, as well as considering eco-friendly options and replacements for things such as light bulbs and appliances.

VMI members are committed to energy reduction through the use of new and innovative lighting as well as more efficient heating and cooling of our facilities. We are working towards solutions in regards to reduction of fuel used by our Fleet and also a reduction of energy used by our vending machines.
